The 5-Step Process
A simple roadmap from registration to receiving your medal.
1. Register
Sign up online at congressionalaward.org. There is a one-time registration fee.

Sign up online. Pay the one-time fee to officially start.

Submit the waiver form and pay the fee.
2. Select an Advisor
Choose an adult mentor who is not a relative. They will guide you through the whole process.

Find a mentor (teacher, coach) to guide you.

Ask a teacher or coach to sign your Advisor form.
3. Set Goals
Create challenging goals for each of the 4 program areas. Goals must be measurable.

Write down your goals and get Advisor approval.
4. Activities & Logging
Execute your plan. Log your hours and have Validators sign off for each activity.
4. Do The Work
Log hours and get signatures.
Action Item
Use the Record Book to track every hour.
5. Submit & Celebrate
Submit your completed Record Book. Once approved, you receive your medal!
5. Finish Line
Submit and wait for approval.
Action Item
Mail your book to the National Office.
